The Culturbo Reusable Espresso Puck Screen is designed for home baristas who want a cleaner puck prep and brewing routine. Place it on top of the coffee puck before extraction to help spread water more evenly across the coffee bed and reduce coffee grounds from reaching the group head.

A puck screen does not replace good grinding, dosing, WDT, or tamping, but it can make the brewing and cleanup stage feel cleaner and easier to repeat during daily home espresso.

Choose the screen structure and size that match your filter basket and daily espresso workflow.

  • 316 Mesh · 0.8mm: A thin, single-layer stainless steel screen with a fine mesh-style surface.
  • 304 Double-Layer · 1.2mm: A thicker, double-layer stainless steel screen with a large-hole upper layer and a fine-hole lower layer.

Both screen styles are available in 51mm, 53mm, and 58mm sizes. Please check your basket inner diameter and the selected variant before ordering.

How to Place the Double-Layer Puck Screen

For the 304 double-layer design, place the larger-hole side facing upward and the fine-hole side facing down toward the prepared coffee puck.

Place the puck screen above the tamped coffee bed before brewing. Remove, rinse, and dry it after use.

How to Use It

  1. Prepare your puck with dosing, distribution, and tamping.
  2. Place the puck screen flat on top of the tamped coffee bed.
  3. Lock in the portafilter and brew as usual.
  4. After brewing, remove and rinse the puck screen before the next use.
