The Culturbo Espresso Puck Screen Kit is designed for home baristas who want cleaner espresso prep, easier cleanup, and a more organized coffee bar. Each kit includes 3 reusable stainless steel puck screens, a sapele wood storage stand, and a magnetic pick-up tool.

In the espresso workflow, a puck screen is placed on top of the tamped coffee puck before brewing. It can help spread water across the coffee bed, reduce loose grounds from reaching the group head, and make cleanup easier after each shot.

Cleaner Espresso Prep, Easier Cleanup

  • 3 reusable puck screens: Pull multiple shots without cleaning the same screen immediately between extractions.
  • Stainless steel construction: Designed for repeated espresso use and easy rinsing after brewing.
  • Sapele wood storage stand: Keeps puck screens upright, organized, and easier to dry.
  • Magnetic pick-up tool: Helps lift the hot puck screen from the portafilter after extraction.
  • Multiple size options: Available in 51mm, 53mm, and 58mm for common home espresso baskets.

Why Use an Espresso Puck Screen?

An espresso puck screen sits between the machine shower screen and the tamped coffee puck. During extraction, it can help spread water across the coffee bed and reduce loose coffee grounds reaching the group head.

A puck screen does not replace proper dosing, WDT distribution, tamping, grind size, or machine setup. It is best used as part of a complete puck prep workflow.

Choose the Right Size

Please choose the puck screen size that matches your portafilter basket. Basket dimensions can vary by espresso machine and basket brand, so we recommend measuring before ordering.

  • 51mm: Common for many compact home espresso machines.
  • 53mm: Designed for many 54mm-style home espresso baskets. Please measure before ordering.
  • 58mm: Common for many standard semi-commercial and prosumer espresso machines.

Wipe the sapele wood stand with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak the wood base in water or place it in a dishwasher. Keep the magnetic pick-up tool dry after cleaning.
